Amber Sunrise - Spey | Atlantic Salmon Flies

Designed by Félix Lamoureux, the Amber Sunrise was designed with spring and fall conditions in mind. Its vivid gold and hot red combination has proven especially effective on fresh fish – provoking strikes when other patterns would provoke no reactions. The fly earned its name on a mid-June morning in 2023, as wildfires cast a smoky hue over Gaspésie's sky. Beneath that amber sunrise, the pattern landed its first Atlantic salmon – and has held its place in the fly box ever since.
