Fanny’s Favorite - Spey | Atlantic Salmon Flies

Designed by Félix Lamoureux, Fanny’s Favorite draws inspiration from patterns known to trigger reactionary strikes through red and yellow contrasts – like the iconic Mickey Finn  or Scotland’s Lightning Bolt. This version swaps bright yellow for rich gold bucktail, paired with select materials that enhance visibility in the water. Named after Félix’s sister, who hooked into her first Atlantic salmon on her second-ever cast with this fly – on a river with few fish – it has since proven remarkably effective across any seasons, conditions, and waters.
